  • From I-5, take Everett Ave EXIT 194 toward US-2 E/Wenatchee.
  • Keep RIGHT to take the Everett Ave/WA-529 ramp toward City Center.
  • Turn RIGHT onto Everett Ave/WA-529. Travel approximately 1 mile.
  • Turn LEFT onto W Marine View Dr.
  • Turn RIGHT onto Pacific Ave.

Safet Ibisevic
CEO

Safet Ibisevic became Chief Operating Officer (COO) at PlasmaLab International in 2019. Previously, he served as Director of Quality at Rock River Valley Blood Center, Advocate Healthcare, and The Institute for Transfusion Medicine (currently part of Vitalant). Additionally, Safet held various QA and operational roles within Talecris (currently part of Grifols) and Biolife Plasma Services (currently part of Takeda Pharmaceutical). His extensive experience in the source plasma, blood banking, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries is an ideal fit for PlasmaLab’s vital position in the biologics community.

Safet holds a BS in Science, with a major in Chemistry from Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad, Serbia (former Yugoslavia). He brings extensive knowledge of FDA and EU regulations, operational management, and project management to PlasmaLab. He is excited to work in an organization that specializes in helping researchers around the globe fight autoimmune disorders.

In his free time, Safet enjoys spending time with his children, traveling and exploring everything the State of Washington has to offer, such as hiking, whale watching, and exploring nature.

PlasmaLab International plays a very important role in supplying researchers around the globe with high quality plasma collected at our specialized plasma center in Everett Washington.”

Heather Neer
Center Manager

Heather Neer’s experience working as a processing and phlebotomy supervisor at Harborview Medical Center is an ideal fit for PlasmaLab’s processing, quality assurance and pheresis departments. As our center manager, Heather ensures that employee competencies and certifications are up to date, procedural documentation is thorough and updated in a timely manner, and FDA, HIPAA, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act regulations are strictly followed.

Heather received her Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification at Edmonds Community College. She also holds Phlebotomy Technician certification. As a supervisor at Altasciences Preclinical Seattle LLC, she had direct oversight of specimen activities, including regulatory compliance and quality review.

As part of a family of Seattle Seahawk fans, Heather can count on weekends filled with ballgames and family fun. A favorite saying at her home is, “We are loud. We are proud. We are Seattle.”

Andrew Karr
CFO

Andrew Karr joined PlasmaLab International in 2021 after starting and running The WestBean Coffee Roasters in San Diego, CA for nine years, growing it to four cafes and an expanded roasting facility for wholesale and distribution. With the knowledge and skills he gained as a business owner and entrepreneur, Andrew is helping to expand PlasmaLab’s footprint in the field of disease-state plasma. As the company’s CFO, Andrew focuses on strategic growth that will help define the company’s future directions and revenues, while maintaining financial efficiency. Andrew received his Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
